Visa for digital nomads in Spain
Like several European nations, Spain has launched its own version of a visa program aimed at digital nomads, entrepreneurs, freelancers or remote workers. The Spanish digital nomad visa offers an attractive option for those with stable income outside of Spain.
The Spanish digital nomad visa grants a single entry and authorizes its holder to reside in Spain for an initial period of 6 months, exceeding the conventional limit of 90 days for tourist visas.
Beyond the initial stay of 6 months, the visa for digital nomads offers the opportunity to obtain a residence permit in Spain, extendable for up to two years. This permit can be renewed for two additional years. After living in Spain for five years, it is possible to apply for long-term residence or even citizenship, as long as certain conditions are met.
For those contemplating a medium and long-term stay in Spain, taking advantage of the benefits of the Digital Nomad Visa could be your gateway to an enriching life experience in this vibrant country.
*Processing time: up to 90 days.
